Please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the contact form on my Contact Page for anything not answered here.
Watercolour Materials
I use the highest quality 300 gsm watercolour papers made from 100% cotton rag. These papers are free from optical brighteners and considered archival quality. I use Arches and Saunders Waterford brands.
All my pigments are professional quality and have the highest permanence ratings. I use M Graham, Daniel Smith and Winsor & Newton most regularly. I also like to try different brands such as Schminke, Old Holland and Mission Gold.
How will my new artwork be presented?
All paintings will be supplied unmounted and unframed for your own personal choice to suit your decor unless otherwise stated.
How will my artwork be packaged?
All original paintings and prints will be securely packaged to prevent any damage in transit.
I often use a re-cycled/repurposed plastic layer to prevent water damage for original paintings. Inside, your original artwork will be attractively wrapped in tissue paper. I use an outer cardboard box or cardboard packaging depending on the size of the work. Occaisonally your piece may arrive rolled in a tube. The painting’s listing will specify if this will be the best method to use.
Giclee prints may be sent rolled in a tube or flat wrapped in carboard, depending on the size of the print.
Giclee Prints
Giclee limited edition prints will be available soon for certain artworks. These will be advertised in the shop and on the Home page.
Hanging your new artwork
I use professional quality artist paints and UV varnish for mixed media pieces. All watercolours will fade over time if placed in direct sunlight. In order to minimise this, the painting can be glazed with specialist UV glass however, it would be best to keep all artwork out of direct sunlight. If you have any queries or concerns, please get in touch by filling out my contact form and I will reply within 24 hours.
Re-cycled plastic packaging
I will use recycled/repurposed plastic wrapping wherever possible. The planet has too much plastic without me adding any further unnecesary plastic wrappings .
Some giclee prints will be sent direct from the printer and therefore this will not apply.
I will provide celo sleeves for greetings cards if requested. If not, they will arrive ‘naked’! Please contact me with any queries or requests via my contact form.
Bespoke size frames
Artworks are often bespoke sizes. I frequently recommend Skelf Frames, a British company who can make a frame to your requirements. The quality is good, they are reasonably priced and provide great customer service.
I do not have an affiliation with this company but use them regularly myself. I don’t receive any benefit from this recommendation
